Here's a few of my truly best moments doing what I enjoy most.
Monster ice routes in Lærdal
Will Gadd and myself went climbing in what must be some of the best areas in the world for ice climbing. We did a direct version of Thorfossen, a route that Guy Lacelle put up 10 years ago. We also did a first ascent that we called Focus, 500 meters of WI6+ pure evil.
Eidfjord
Crazy crazy place, with more ice than any climber can dream of. I went here with Will Gadd and we put up two new routes, one of them we graded WI7. I go to Eidfjord every season, always finding new cool stuff to climb.
Swedish Ice Mines
The most amazing place I've ever been to with ice tools. We discovered the future for ice and mixed climbing, down in abandoned iron mines in Sweden, and made a really good movie about it.
Haugsfossen
I've climbed this Rjukan classic many times and everytime it's been an epic. Steep, hard climbing in a really cool location.
Paragliding in Valle De Bravo
My first real paragliding trip was to Mexico, during the pre World Cup in Valle De Bravo. I learnt a lot from some of the best pilots in the world. Cool place, nice people and fantastic flying.
Ice climbing in Rjukan
I have spent a significant amount of hours ice climbing in Rjukan, my home. This place has given me the skills and experience to climb some of the best ice and mixed routes in the world.
